As if the astronaut were falling out of a spaceship, plunging through the canyons around the Berlin TV Tower, rowing his arms. And then everything stands still. He is no longer falling, everything is frozen in a photographic moment. A photo that has yellowed with time. Victor Ash's mural of the astronaut is for me one of the most beautiful pieces of street art in Berlin. The lettering CCCP and the astronaut melt into the past on photographic paper. And disappear in the weathering of our memories.

Als fiele der Astronaut aus einem Raumschiff heraus, stürzt durch die Schluchten rund um den Berliner Fernsehturm, rudert mit den Armen. Und dann steht alles still. Er fällt nicht mehr, alles ist in einem Fotomoment eingefroren. Ein Foto, das mit der Zeit vergilbt ist. Victor Ashs Wandbild des Astronauten ist für mich eines der schönsten Street-Art-Kunstwerke in Berlin. Der Schriftzug CCCP und der Astronaut verschmelzen zu Vergangenheit auf Fotopapier. Und verschwinden in der Verwitterung unserer Erinnerungen.
