Alles auf Anfang

Eight elements unite in the collage to form the most significant experience of my life in Berlin: the fall of the Wall. DO EPIC SHIT screams the feeling of this time out of my heart. The Trabant, as Birgit Kinder's well-known wall at the East Side Gallery, is steered into the turbulence of that era by the monkey face and dachshund of the Berlin urban artist Salamidoggy. Stanley Kubrick's bomb ride from his masterpiece "Dr. Strangelove..." artistically conveys the threat felt at the time in a stencil by an unknown Dresden paste-up artist. The jet and the child in the diagonal, linked by colour, narrate the tension between peaceful revolution and warlike warning. Mr. Sasa's child playing with love cubes also embodies the need for protection of the following generations. 
For me, the picture tells the complete story at the moment of the fall of the Wall.

Acht Elemente vereinen sich in der Collage zum bedeutsamsten Erlebnis meines Berlin-Lebens: dem Mauerfall. DO EPIC SHIT schreit links oben das Gefühl dieser Zeit aus meinem Herzen heraus. Der Trabant, als wohl bekanntes Mauerwerk von Birgit Kinder an der East-Side-Gallery, wird von Affengesicht und Dackel des Berliner Urban Artists Salamidoggy in die Turbulenzen der damaligen Epoche gesteuert. Stanley Kubricks Bombenritt aus seinem Meisterwerk „Dr. Seltsam…“ vermittelt künstlerisch im Stencil eines unbekannten Dresdener Paste-Up-Künstlers die damals gefühlte Bedrohung. Der Jet und das Kind in der Diagonale, farblich einander verbunden, erzählen das Spannungsfeld zwischen friedlicher Revolution und kriegerischer Warnung. Mr. Sasas mit Liebeswürfeln spielendes Kind verkörpert zudem das Schutzbedürfnis der folgenden Generationen.

Für mich erzählt das Bild die vollständige Geschichte im Moment des Mauerfalls.
